Cornflake cookies


1 cup light corn syrup

¼ cup sugar

1 cup peanut butter

1 teaspoon vanilla 

5 to 6 cups cornflakes 


In a large saucepan bring corn syrup and sugar to a boil on medium heat. Once boiling add in your peanut butter, mix until smooth and then remove from the heat. Stir in vanilla and your corn flakes. Line an area on your table or counter tops with wax paper, then spoon out some of the mixture onto the wax paper keeping 1 inch between them. Once cooled, enjoy!

Banana bread

Banana bread 2 to 3 large ripe bananas  ⅓ cup butter ½ teaspoon baking soda A pinch of salt ¾ cup sugar (or 1 cup) 1 large egg 1 teaspoon vanilla  1 ½ cups flour - In a large bowl mash up 2 to 3 large, ripened bananas. Once fully mashed up add into your bowl your butter (melted) , baking soda, salt, egg, vanilla and flour. Once combined, grease (I use butter) a bread pan or a deep cookie sheet. Once greased, pour in your batter and preheat your oven to 350°F and bake for 30 to 50 minutes depending on your oven. Or just until the top is a golden brown or when you stick a knife into it comes out clean.

Potato soup

  Potato soup 1 pound bacon - chopped (optional) 2 stalks celery - diced 1 onion - chopped 3 cloves garlic - minced 8 potatoes - peeled and cubed 4 cups chicken stock - or enough to cover potatoes 3 tablespoons butter ¼ cup all-purpose flour 1 cup heavy cream 1 shake pepper flakes (Optional) 3 teaspoons chopped fresh cilantro salt and pepper to taste In a medium pot add in your bacon and cook over medium-high heat , turning occasionally, until evenly browned. Drain bacon pieces on paper towels . Add in a drizzle of olive oil to the pot and cook your celery and onion until the onions are soft and translucent . Once done , stir in the garlic and continue cooking for 1 to 2 minutes . Next add the cubed potatoes and toss them around to coat them. Sauté for 3 to 4 minutes . Return bacon to the pan and add enough chicken stock to just cover the potatoes. Cover and simmer until potatoes are tender around 15 to 20 minutes .
